Our Story

The Chatterbox Club was founded in Rochester in 1923 by Mrs. Charles W. Weis, Jr. and a group of her friends with 90 charter members. The present location was purchased in 1927 and has been renovated through the years to accommodate the club’s expanding membership and mission. The Chatterbox Club, maintaining a membership of 400, hosts social and educational activities for its members and guests.

Planning an Event?

Our gracious and historic club is ideal for events such as lunches, dinners, cocktail parties, business meetings, rehearsal dinners and weddings for members and members of affiliated clubs. What shall I wear?

Dress should be tasteful and appropriate for a city club; no casual jeans or workout clothes. Men should wear a collared shirt; jackets are suggested.
